EQ Psychology provides supervision for students, clinical psychology registrars, registered psychologists and other mental health professionals, supervision of supervisors, supervision of practice owners and senior psychology leaders and professional development services across Perth and Australia via telehealth. Led by Clinical Psychologist and Board-Approved Supervisor Eimear Quigley, our approach combines technical skill development with reflective practice, psychological safety, and professional growth.
About Me: Eimear Quigley
Welcome! I’m Eimear Quigley, and my life’s purpose is to decrease human suffering. For the past two decades, I’ve dedicated myself to this noble mission, working across various sectors to make a positive impact. This has led to the growth of my supervision and training style which is combines technical skill development, reflective practice, psychological safety, and genuine curiosity about both the clinician and the clinical work.
My Journey
- Clinical Psychology: My journey began as a clinical psychologist, where I delved into the intricate workings of the human mind. Guiding individuals through their struggles, I witnessed the transformative power of empathy and understanding.
- Senior Leadership: Over the years, I’ve held senior leadership roles in government, non-government, and private industries. These experiences have grounded me, providing a laser focus on compassionately healing others.
- University Educator: Currently, I serve as an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at Edith Cowan University. My passion lies in shaping the next generation of practitioners, embedding practice principles that resonate with empathy and effectiveness.
- Volunteer positions: I volunteer with a number of organisations, including serving as the Board Chair for Alike WA, the Committee Secretary for The Mental Fitness Collective, an advisor for the Central Queensland University’s Clinical Psychology Committee, a clinical advisor for The FIFO Family Project and a debrief facilitator for Lionheart Camp for Kids. I love being able to give back to our community and share my expertise in different ways to hopefully ripple effect further positive change and transformation.
My Approach
- Person-Centered Humanism: In my practice, I embrace a person-centered, humanistic approach. Each client is unique, deserving of empathy, respect, and personalized care. Together, we navigate the path toward healing and growth.
- Neurodiversity Advocate: Caring for neurodiverse family members has given me firsthand insight. I believe that lived experiences enrich our understanding and fuel meaningful connections.
